Space Exploration

Rockets were used to launch probes into space. The rockets were usually 58 meters high and has three stages for getting into space. Now, during the present day, they are used in commercial or gov't use. For example, the military has a probe that takes pictures of different parts of the world. Even Google Maps has a probe, see for your self and zoom out until you see all the countries.
The National Aeronautics and Space Administration was started in 1958. There mission was to explore space. They found out that humans could survive in space. They learned how to maneuver aircraft around in space, and orbit. Apollo 13 looked like a really smooth flight for the rest of NASA, but then an oxygen tank blew. Everyone survived but they were loosing power, electricity, light, and water. After that, they had three Apollo missions, but none of them had humans on board.
Now, the NASA program has a Personal Assistant Robot, it floats next to the astronauts and takes temperature, and pressure checks. It is installed with a video phone so they can talk with other astronauts and NASA.
NASA says that there will be a seven dollar increase for every dollar they spend on the program. Some people think it is a really good idea, others think it is a waste and could be used for education or medical study.
