Enigma Box

Scientists use inferences to find out what is happening. Same with predictions, and hypothesizes. You can give a hypothesis to what you think is inside the Enigma box. I gave a hypothesis in the paragraph above.

When Mrs. Casey poured a certain Amount of water into the box, water came out a hose on the outside. People thought it was like a coffee filter. Or worked like a toilet. In the small box it took 470 ml. In the larger one it took 1800 ml.
I think inside the box was a slightly buoyant weight. Which with enough water would raise and unplug the hose. Letting the water out. And the water would have enough vacuum to pull the rest of the water out. Filling up the bucket or tub.

Inside the box was a tube that would go up and loop around inside the box. When the water would reach the top of the loop it pours out the end of the hose. While going down it pushes air out and pulls water in. If you filled up the box high enough it would be the same height in the tube.
